First, it was the pre-rendered trailer which Sony tried to pass off as gameplay video. The whole thing blew up in their face but gamers soon forgot about it when they saw actual gameplay video. Killzone 2 looks set to rock the PS3 world.
Obviously, good publicity is something Sony doesn’t like. Now, the developer, Guerilla Games, admits that they “slightly” touched up the screenshots. From the above, a blind man can see the difference. Slightly doesn’t quite cut it.
I don’t understand why companies have to go through all of this. The game itself was already looking good to begin with. As much as it is their fault, I blame the gamers as well. Games that are rated 7-8 these days are considered crap.True, it forces developers to push themselves to create better games, but cut them some slack before all we see are pre-rendered trailers and Photoshopped screenshots.
